Panasonic impresses with its new camera, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-F7 which is a special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was announced in North America on the 17/9/01. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-F7 will be sold for 500in the United States, considered affordable for such a camera. This nice little piece of technology measures 104 x 51 x 32 mm while it weights only 200 g. The Lumix DMC-F7 delivers a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. It also supports a lower resolution of 800 x 600, 640 x 480. The ratio of the image (w/h) on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-F7 is set at 4:3, making a total of 1.9 mega pixels.

The sensor on the Lumix DMC-F7 is a CCD of dimensions 1/2.7 " and uses a RGB color filter.
