Panasonic is back with its new conception, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30 which is a very special camera and setting new standards in the market! It was unveiled in North America on the 31/1/07. This model measures 95 x 52 x 22 mm and is weighting only 162 g. You can also set it at a lower resolution of 2560 x 1920, 2048 x 1536, 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The lens's sensor of the Lumix DMC-FX30 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " using a RGB color filter. Panasonic implemented a digital zoom on the Lumix DMC-FX30 with an internal flash being a standard in nowadays cameras .

The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed (min. exposition to light) on the Lumix DMC-FX30 is 60 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 seconds. The movie mode is supported in this version which is always a useful function. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30 includes an internal memory of 27 mb and can be extended with SD/MMC/SDHC card + Internal. The LCD implemented in the Lumix DMC-FX30 is measuring 2.5 ". A video out plug exists letting you see your pictures on television. A USB connection is furnished to connect to a computer.
