Panasonic strikes back with its new model, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC70 which is a great camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was shown in the US on the 09/1/04. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC70 was initially targeted at a retail price of 249in North America, a very fair price. This nice little piece of technology measures 65 x 87 x 35 mm while it weights only 210 g. The Lumix DMC-LC70 delivers a maximum resolution of 2304 x 1728. It also supports a lower resolution of 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480. The image ratio (w/h) on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC70 is 4:3, for a total of 4.0 mega pixels.

The internal sensor on the Lumix DMC-LC70 is a CCD measuring only 1/2.5 " using a RGB color filter. Panasonic added a digital zoom on its Lumix DMC-LC70 and also added an internal flash being very common in new cameras . The normal focus range is 50 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Lumix DMC-LC70 is 8 seconds and the maximum shutter is 1/2000 sce seconds. Movies are supported in this version which is always a useful function.
